I did some reading on this and this is what I found.....
Neuralgia is pain that follows the path of a nerve.
Pain along the path of a specific nerve.
Pain located anywhere, usually on or near the surface of the body.
Sharp, stabbing pain that comes and goes (intermittent) or constant, burning pain.
Any touch or pressure is felt as pain. Movement may also be painful.
Peripheral neuropathy refers to damage to the peripheral nerves - nerves that carry information between the central nervous system (the brain and spinal cord) and the rest of the body.
Peripheral neuropathy may be caused by a number of different medical conditions, such as diabetes, cancer, neurological disorders (Multiple Sclerosis) and nutritional deficiencies.
So it looks like we might be on the right path here....
